Supramolecular Polymerization
Frequently, research has unexpected results. In the synthesis of an oxidative artificial photolyase, the material underwent a supramolecular polymerization to give a highly polar, non-centrosymmetric crystal that is expected to have unusual non-linear optical properties. Shown is the crystal structure of this material
